Speaker: Peter Brand Sealaska Bio Mass Energy "As the world energy business changes to more greener, carbon reduced solutions, many producers, suppliers and users are adjusting their thinking. Sealaska Corporation has recently entered the biomass energy business in Alaska, beginning with the conversion of their corporate headquarters in Juneau, from fossil fuel (oil) heating to "carbon neutral" wood pellet heating. The conversion project is underway and completion is expected this fall.

Sealaska has positioned itself to provide wood pellet and wood chip fuel distribution, biomass boiler sales and installation, and biomass energy sales to interested customers in Alaska. Peter Brand has a long history in the wood pellet business, leading a BC producer to become one of the largest wood pellet manufacturers in the world. Peter will talk about the shifting energy business and Sealaska's role in this business going forward, along with partners Ventek Energy Systems and Synergy".
